  CUSCO HOTELS SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

Our Cusco Hotels offer you the following possibilities:

  MARKET DINNER
Our Cena Mercado is a special activity that takes place in the Cuatro Bustos courtyard of the Hotel Libertador Palacio del Inka Cusco, one of our Cusco Hotels. You will enjoy the staging of a typical Inca market, similar to those organized on Sundays and holidays in the town of Pisaq, 30 km away from Cusco, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

  Staging
Around 40 artists among dancers, musicians and peasants with typical dresses participate in this performance. The peasants drive their llamas packed with ichu (straw), do the trueque or product exchange and show their spinning (wool preparation for making their clothes).

There is also a dramatization of the Fiesta of the Virgen del Carmen, where, as usual, the town people, authorities, dancers and a band of musicians, accompany the Virgin in procession.

The dances are typical from Cusco's different provinces: Anta, Canas, Canchis, Quispicanchis, Paruro, Espinar, Acomayo, La Convencion, Calca, Urubamba, Paucartambo, Chumbivilcas and also from the city of Cusco itself. Dances take place around bonfires, turning the show into a permanent attraction, where every guest is invited to dance in this big party.

We offer a buffet prepared with typical food, in one of our Cusco Hotels.

This event was created by the Hotel Libertador Palacio del Inka Cusco for incentive or special groups. Taking into account the staging, organization and displacement, a minimum of 50 paying passengers is required.

  INTI NAPAYKUY DINNER
(Greeting to the Sun)
This dinner buffet shows how the Inca used to greet and worship the Sun as his child. It is specially staged for the guests of our Cusco Hotels.

  Staging
The Inca arrives in his litter, accompanied by the main authorities, princesses and maidens, who bring special offerings to the God Sun. In a reverent way, they greet the Sun, while our guests observe the beautiful and majestic dresses of Inca times that each character wears during the ceremony.

After the greeting, there is a performance of typical Inca dances from the 4 suyos or 4 parts in which the Empire was divided: Chinchay Suyo (northern coast), Anti Suyo (jungle), Conti Suyo (southwest), Colla Suyo (southeast - the highland). Around 25 artists participate in this magical event among dancers and musicians.

The ceremony lasts about 45 minutes and is accompanied by sweet melodies and native music. After the special greeting of the Inca to the guests and his retinue of subjects, the group is invited to take pictures with the whole company and to film them.

The show ends with the presentation of two music groups that play different kind of music.

We offer a buffet with typical food, in one of our Cusco Hotels.

To organize this event, a minimum of 30 paying passengers is required. They can be lodged in any of our 3 Cusco Hotels.

You can coordinate any of these activities in our three Cusco Hotels or contacting us before your visit.
