This church, built in the 17th century with a Spanish baroque style, presents also different Andean elements and was constructed by the Peruvian master builder Simón de Asto.

Lake Titicaca |

The lake is a very important element in the Andean mythology. The legend says that Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo, children of the Sun and founders of the Inca Empire, emerged from its waters. Peru and Bolivia share the sovereignty of the highest navigable lake in the world (3,810 meters above sea level). |

Titicaca National Reserve |

It was founded in 1987 as a protected natural area with the aim to preserve the natural resources related to the lake's ecosystem and the high flatland's bioregion. Dozens of bird species, fishes and amphibians live in its perimeter. 60 bird species and 12 different types of aquatic plants, among them the totora reed, have been observed. |

Uros Floating Islands |

5 km northeast of the city of Puno (20 minutes by boat approximately).
Each island is inhabited by around 30 to 50 people in houses built with totora reed. Among these islands stand out Toranipata, the biggest one, Santa María, Paraíso, Pacha Mama and Tupiri

Sillustani Archaeological Complex |

34 km north of the city of Puno (35 minutes by car approximately).
Famous for its chullpas, circular stone towers that were built to place the dead bodies of ancient Collao's main authorities. The biggest one is 12 meters high and they all have a rare structure, since the diameter is shorter at the base than at the top.
