Surrounding Roads And Tracks: |
|
| |
The lodge is surrounded by 25 km trails (including a system that leads us to the Condenado and Sachavacayoc lakes). The trails around the lodge start and finish at the refuge and are very well signaled so that visitors can walk along them with a guide or by themselves.
Behind the lodge we have a trail that leads to the cold waters of the Gallocunca ravine, ideal to take a refreshing bath. |

It is located about 4 hours from our lodge. This Collpa is considered one of the biggest and most accessible in the world. Several dozens and sometimes even hundreds of macaws and parrots visit the Collpa at a daily basis, looking for the mineral salts they need to digest food. Among the species that visit this collpa are: Scarlet Macaws, Blue and Yellow Macaws, Red and Green Macaws and the green-headed parrot. |

We offer programs for one night camping; however, since the place is rather close to the Lodge, we can organize excursions during the day.

Trails And Tracks Around The Lodge |
|
| |
These trails are surrounded by giant chestnut and chihuahuaco trees. The mammals that are usually seen in this area are apes called "mono pichico" or "leoncillo", brown capuchin monkeys, agoutis, a type of rodent called "paca", as well as blue-morpho butterflies, trogons, toucans and many other bird species.
Night walks: We offer night excursions to observe nocturnal animals and insects, which are tracked down by their brilliant eyes when they are lit with a flashlight. Around 50% of the animals living in the jungle are nocturnal.
