| Huanchaco Carnival |
| District of Huanchaco, province of Trujillo
Huanchaco´s carnival has its origins in the early 20th century when it was introduced, inspired in the Venetian Carnival. Twenty years ago it was modernized and today there is a contest to elect the Carnival queen, a parade with allegorical cars, costumes, carnival dances and contests.

| Las Delicias beach, district of Moche, province of Trujillo
Inspired in Spanish traditions, during this fiesta, typical Spanish food and beverage are served and the streets and houses are decorated in a Spanish style. There are also Peruvian Paso Horse cavalcades and small cows are left free as in the Pamplona Festival. A taurine festival and toromatch is held, and people go to tascas (typical Spanish taverns), tablaos (where Flamenco dances are performed) and listen to tunas.

This championship takes place in Malabrigo beach (also called Chicama) with the participation of surfers from all over the world. This beach is internationally renown for having the world's longest left wave.
